Raymond Weidner

 

Raymond Weidner has served in the church music profession for over thirty-five years and holds degrees from Westminster Choir College (BMus), Western Michigan University (MMus), Michigan State University (PhD), and Chesapeake Theological Seminary. He studied organ with George Markey, Donald McDonald, and Corliss Arnold. Dr. Weidner is currently organist and director of music at Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church in Severna Park, MD where he directs an adult choir of over 90 voices and oversees a fully graded choir program of more than 200 participants. In addition to his work as a church musician, Dr. Weidner founded and directed the Chamber Choir of Grand Rapids (MI) and the Ars Nova Ensemble of Tulsa, OK. He was also the conductor and music director of the Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra in Jackson, MS. He has also been active as a clinician at area and national music conferences, and has been staff cartoonist for "Creator Magazine".
