Bruce Polay

Bruce Polay has been music director/conductor of the Knox-Galesburg Symphony since 1983, and is professor of music at Knox College where he is chair of the music department. During his tenure, Bruce has been selected Illinois Conductor of the Year and the Knox-Galesburg Symphony has twice been the recipient of the coveted Illinois Orchestra of the Year. He serves on the Board of Advisors of the Barlow Endowment for Music Composition at Brigham Young University and the Advisory Board of the Foundation for New Music.
