Arthur Frackenpohl

 

Arthur Frackenpohl was born in 1924 in New Jersey and was educated at the Eastman School of Music (BA, MA) and McGill University (DM). From 1949 until his retirement in 1985, he was a faculty member at the Crane School of Music at State University of New York at Potsdam. He is a widely published composer and arranger (particularly of music for wind and brass instruments), and his textbook "Harmonization at the Piano" is used in colleges throughout the USA.
